Counselor
Seeking counseling can be a challenging step, but Marlena believes that the courage to reach out reflects your resilience. Her goal is to build a therapeutic relationship where clients feel safe, understood, and valued. Marlena provides a welcoming space to process trauma, attachment, life transitions, relationship issues, grief, anxiety, and depression. She is passionate about helping adolescents, adults, and couples gain insight and develop new ways of being that foster a fulfilling life.
Marlena utilizes an integrative approach, tailoring her care to meet each client’s unique needs. She sees counseling as a journey and is honored to walk alongside her clients, serving as a catalyst for meaningful and lasting change.
Marlena earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Phoenix and completed her master’s degree in counseling at Covenant Theological Seminary. In addition, Marlena has received training in play therapy from Missouri Baptist University.
Outside of her practice, Marlena has been married for over 18 years and is a devoted mother. In her spare time, you’ll find her cheering on her children at sports events, enjoying time with friends and family, exploring the beautiful outdoors, or taking any opportunity learn more about the adventures of homesteading.
