Melia provides counseling and music therapy services to infants, children, adolescents, and adults that struggle with various mental health issues.

Melia has completed a postpartum certification that focuses on education and helping infants bond with their caregivers. She has experience working at a children's hospital providing normalization, pain management, and relaxation through music therapy. She has worked with children with developmental and intellectual disabilities on communication, coping skills, educational goals, and improving behavior issues. She has worked with adolescents and adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, eating disorders, ADHD, and substance abuse. In addition, she has led several groups that focus on coping skills, relaxation, communication, and relationship building.

Melia utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy along with various mindfulness and expressive arts interventions. She believes in addressing the physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, and creative aspects that make up the whole individual. She encourages her clients and helps them discover the strengths that they already possess in order to manage difficult emotions. Collaboration is a very big part of her therapy sessions, as clients are the true experts of their lives.

Melia completed her undergraduate degree at Belmont University in 2020. She completed her board certification exam and became a Board-Certified Music Therapist in the fall of 2020. She recently graduated with her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grace College.
