Alyssa Perez MA
Art Therapy Counseling Resident
Alyssa offers art therapy and counseling to adults facing a variety of issues related to anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, identity, and interpersonal relationships. Additionally, Alyssa has a background in Applied Behavior Analysis and experience working with individuals who are neurodivergent.
Art therapy opens the door for communication that is not strictly reliant on verbal processing. This creative process and artwork help empower the whole person - the physical, mental, spiritual, and creative. Art therapy is also highly adaptable, and no prior art experience is required. Alyssa typically uses a combination of art therapy and talk therapy techniques.
